Research Interests

  • I am interested in the structure and functional aspects of a number of cytoskeletal proteins, including actin, cofilin, gelsolin and DNase I. We have recently solved the solution structure of chick cofilin using NMR spectroscopy in collaboration with Prof. Glenn King at the University of Connecticut Health Center, USA and are now attempting to map the cofilin-actin interface as well as determining the phosphoinositide regulatory domains of cofilin by NMR studies.
